Installation Steps

  1. Detach the Wall Bracket

    • Wall installation is done using the wall bracket supplied with the device. LivionKey20 must be installed in a warm and dry (non-condensing) environment.

    • The wall bracket is attached and locked to the device in the product package. To release it from the device, an S5 key with factory state is needed, which is not supplied with the device.

    • After unboxing the product, use the key to unlock the wall bracket by rotating it counterclockwise in the lock. Slide the LivionKey20 upwards and release the wall bracket.

  2. Install the Wall Bracket

    • Attach the wall bracket to the wall using six screws and anchors/plugs. Screws and plugs are supplied with the device.

    • Screws placement are marked in green in the picture below. Areas marked in red can be used for wiring feedthrough through the wall, and a larger area for the junction box inside the wall.

  3. Route the Power Cable

Wiring can be on the wall's surface, go through the wall behind the device, or be in a junction box behind the device. These three scenarios are presented here.

    1. Surface Wiring:

      • In the case of surface wiring, the recommended wiring direction is down from the device. The front cover has an opening that allows the cable to come out from behind the device.

      • It is also possible to have a cable direction up or either side, but in that case, a hole for the cable must be made on the back edge of the plastic front cover.

      • Attach the wall bracket on the wall. Use a suitable cable trunk to protect the cable.

      • Ensure that the LivionKey20 lock is in the open position. Then, switch on the LivionKey20’s power switch, which is located on the backside of the device.

      • Push the device towards the wall bracket. Check that hooks on the wall bracket (5pcs) go into the holes in the device's metal back plate. Check that the cable is not preventing the hooks from going into their place into the device!

      • Push the device so that it is firmly against the wall bracket and slide the device downwards until it stops. The device is now attached to the wall bracket. Rotate the key clockwise to lock the device. Remove the key from the lock and place the lid over the cable trunk.

    2. Through-the-Wall Wiring

      • Attach the wall bracket to the wall. Use one of the open areas in the wall bracket to drill a hole through the wall. The hole diameter should be 16mm. Push the LivionKey20 power cable into the hole through the wall. Fix and lock the device on the wall bracket the same way as explained above.

    3. Junction Box

      • The wall bracket has one larger opening that can be used in case a junction box is in the wall, and DC supply voltage is cabled to that box.

      • In this case, attach the wall bracket so the junction box is in the centre of the larger opening.

      • Cut the LivionKey20 power cable. The free length should be about 40cm. Strip the individual wires as needed, depending on the connectors to be used.

      • Connect LivionKey20 power cable wires to the wires in the junction box. Observe the polarity!

      • Push the excess cable into the junction box and fix and lock the device on the wall bracket the same way as explained earlier. Again, while fixing the device, be careful that the cable does not prevent the hooks from going into their place!

  4. Program the S5 Lock

    • The S5 lock needs to be programmed into the locking system.

    • We recommend programming all key automat wall bracket locks in your organization with a common access right, e.g., "key automat wall bracket."

    • Name the S5 lock in iLOQ Manager using the Key Automat hardware ID (found at the bottom).

  5. Create a Temporary Contract to lock to the wall bracket

    • Once the lock is programmed, create a short-term key contract for the Key Automat with access to that access right.

    • Use a PIN code to retrieve the key and lock the Key Automat to the wall bracket.

    • You can return the key to the Key Automat by presenting it to the front NFC reader.

    • The key will be available for use after this contract ends.

Conclusion

Thank you for following the LivionKey20 installation guide. You have successfully installed your Key Automat and are ready to experience streamlined key management!
