We will see how to use Automatic Key ID generation when creating a key in the UI or importing keys via CSV.
This feature is designed to save time and ensure every key has a unique, readable ID without extra manual work.
What is Automatic Key ID Generation?
When you create or import a key without a Key ID, LivionKey Register will automatically generate one for you.
Key facts:
Unique per organization unit: Generated IDs are validated to avoid duplicates in your organization.
Readable & short: IDs are 6 characters, using A–Z and 0–9.
Works everywhere you add keys: UI (single key) and CSV import (many keys).
Tip: If you already have your own Key ID conventions, you can still type your own Key ID—the system will use yours as-is if it’s unique.
