Key Programming On-Demand
Traditional key management often involves manually programming keys with specific access rights before distribution. LivionKey20 streamlines this process by programming the necessary access rights only when the end user retrieves the key using a personalized PIN code.
The keys themselves are pre-programmed to work with the locking system, but they remain inactive without access rights until they are needed. This significantly enhances security – even if keys were to be stolen from the Key Automat, they would be useless without the proper access rights assigned.
Additionally, the Key Automat captures a photo of each customer during key retrieval and return, ensuring full traceability and accountability for all operations.

Seamless Key Management
All daily key management tasks are handled through the user-friendly LivionKey web UI, accessible on both computers and mobile devices. This intuitive interface simplifies key handover and retrieval while providing easy access to logs from anywhere.
Key Contracts and Access Rights
When a customer is granted access to a key, it is managed through a key contract in LivionKey. These contracts are associated with a specific person and define the access rights that will be programmed onto the key. Contracts can be scheduled to start immediately or at a future date and can be set for a specific duration. LivionKey automatically selects an available key and programs it with the necessary access rights when the designated person retrieves it.
Key Retrieval and Return
The customer receives an email or SMS with instructions on where to pick up the key and the assigned PIN code.
They can retrieve the key by entering the PIN code at the Key Automat.
Keys can be returned by re-entering the PIN code or simply presenting the key to the NFC reader below the Key Automat keypad.
A Shift in Key Management
If you're familiar with iLOQ Manager, where operations are key-centric, you'll notice a significant shift with LivionKey20. The focus is on access rights rather than individual keys. This approach is similar to how mobile keys are managed, where the purpose and access of each key can dynamically change over time.
In traditional iLOQ systems, keys are often named after specific locations. However, with LivionKey20, key naming in iLOQ Manager is no longer static because the role and purpose of each key can evolve.
Technical Overview
LivionKey communicates with iLOQ through the iLOQ public API.
After adding your API credentials, LivionKey verifies it has the necessary usage rights.
The iLOQ locking system must have API access enabled, and all access rights intended for programming must be of the API access right type
All S5 keys must be pre-programmed to belong to the same locking system
Integration and Automation
When installed inside a building with an iLOQ online reader at the front door, contract PIN codes can be synced, enabling end customers to access the building
Full automation can be achieved by integrating your property management system with our API. A new rental agreement can automatically generate a key contract with a PIN code, eliminating manual involvement in the key handover process.
