Ethernet connection
Ethernet connection is available in the LivionKey20 and it can be used to connect the device to the internet if cellular 4G connection is not available in the location.
Ethernet cable needs to be installed into the connector that is located inside the
LivionKey20. This instruction guide shows the necessary steps for the cable installation.
Unlock and remove the LivionKey20 from the wall bracket and turn it so that the
backside of the device is accessible. Switch the power off from the device
power switch, located on its back side.
On the backside, on the upper right corner, there is a cover for the power and
ethernet cable connectors. Release the cover by removing two screws
marked in the picture below.
Move the cover aside so that the power plug (green) is visible. Remove the plug from its connector by pulling it upwards.
Loose the strain relief part from the cover by unscrewing two screws (marked
in the picture below).
Attach the ethernet cable into the strain relief according to the pictures below.
Ethernet cable free end length should be about 60mm. Tight the two strain relief screws.
Note!
Strain relief is designed for thin, round ethernet cables with diameter less than 4mm. Using thicker or flat cables is not recommended.
Plug in the power supply cable and ethernet cable into their respective connectors. Fix the cover with the two screws.
