Introducing Possibility to change pickup and return location
At Livion, we recognize that key management needs vary, and transitioning to fully automated systems isn't always feasible for every key. While many customers rely on our Key Automats for automated key handling, others utilize LivionKey Register for manual key management at the office.
We're excited to introduce the Change key pickup and return location feature to bridge the gap between these two approaches. This functionality allows for seamless interoperability between manual and automated key management, allowing you to choose how each key contract is handled.
Key Benefits
Flexible Pickup and Return: Change key pickup or return locations for existing contracts as needed.
Adaptable Storage: Move a key's return location from a Key Automat to the office, or vice versa, with ease.
Dynamic Notifications: A notification system informs users of any location changes.
Practical Use Cases
Example 1: Unexpected Key Returns to the Office
Scenario: A tenant is scheduled to return their key to a Key Automat but unexpectedly returns it to the office instead.
Solution:
Switch the key's storage type in LivionKey Register to "manual storage" and mark it as returned.
For the next tenant, either place the key back in the Key Automat or change the upcoming contract to instruct them to pick it up from the office.
Example 2: Switching Key Return to a Nearby Key Automat
Scenario: A tenant who picked up a key from the office can't return it in person.
Solution:
Switch the contract's key storage to a nearby Key Automat.
The tenant will receive a PIN code to return the key there instead.
How to Switch Storage Location for a Key
You have two options to switch a key's storage, depending on whether the key has any associated contracts:
Key Without Contracts:
Select the key and choose "Update Key" from the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.
Change the storage location.
Once you press "Save," the application will guide you in physically moving the key to the new storage location.
Key With Upcoming or Existing Contracts:
Select the contract and choose "Change Key Storage."
If the key hasn't been picked up yet, physically move the key to the new location after changing the storage.
Important: In this case, changing the storage within the contract is crucial because the end customer may have already received information about the original pickup or return location. They should be informed of any changes.
The Switch Key Storage feature enhances LivionKey's flexibility, allowing you to adapt to changing circumstances and manage keys seamlessly across manual and automated systems.
