Understanding Buildings in LivionKey
In LivionKey Register, buildings represent physical structures in the real world. They are organized within a parent-child hierarchy, forming an organizational tree. Keys can be assigned to specific buildings, allowing for granular access control.
Building Properties
Each building in LivionKey Register has the following properties:
Organization Unit: (Required) The building parent organization unit
Address: (Required) The building street name and street number
Postal Code: (Required) The building's postal code
Post Office: (Required) The building's post office
Building Customer ID: (Optional) An identifier used to import keys from third-party systems
Building Name: (Optional) A logical name for the building
Important: If you use Building Customer IDs, they must be unique within your Organization.
Importing Buildings
Follow these steps to import multiple buildings into LivionKey Register using a CSV file:
Download the import buildings template.
Log in to LivionKey Register and navigate to the "Buildings" page
From the "Actions" dropdown menu, select "Import"
Click "Download template" to get the CSV file
Fill in the Template with your buildings data:
Do not modify the column headers.
Required fields:
Organization Unit ID or Customer ID (must match an existing unit)
Address
Postal Code
Post Office
Building Customer ID (must be unique within the Organization)
Optional field: Building Name
Tip: To find the Organization Unit ID or Customer ID:
Go to the left menu and click on "Organization".
Select the desired organization unit.
In the General tab, locate the "Info" section.
The ID and Customer ID will be displayed there.
Save the file in CSV format, using a comma (,) or semicolon (;) as the separator
Import the File:
Upload your CSV file
Press "Validate"
Confirm the import details and click "Import"
A confirmation screen will display the import results for you to review
Validation Guidelines:
Column headers must match the template
Each CSV file can contain a maximum of 200 buildings
All rows must have data, even at the beginning and end
Building Customer IDs (if used) must be unique within the Organization
Managing Buildings
Click "Buildings" in the left menu to access the building management view
Building List View
The building list view consists of three sections:
Search and Filter Block: Search for buildings or filter them by organization unit
List of Items Block: Displays the list of buildings
Item Details Block: Shows details of the selected building
Creating a Building
Click the "+ Create" button in the top right corner of the search and filter block
Provide the following information:
Parent organization unit (required)
Adress (required)
Postal Code (required)
Post Office (required)
Building Name (optional)
Building Customer ID (optional, must be unique within the Organization)
Press the “Save” button to create the building
Searching for a Building
Free search: Search using keywords that match the building name, address, postal code, post office, or building customer ID
Filters: Filter buildings by organization unit
Updating a Building
Right-click on the row of the building you want to update
Modify the necessary fields (Address, Postal Code, Post Office, Building Name, Building Customer ID)
Press "Save" to update the building
Moving a Building
Access the desired building detail view
Press the "Move building" button from the menu
Select the destination organization unit
Press "Move"
Note: Moving a building may take a few minutes
Deleting a Building
Right-click on the building's row
Press the "Delete" button
Confirm the deletion in the dialog box
Important: Deleting a building is permanent and cannot be undone
